Reporting a website

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Webbricks lets small businesses build and publish their own websites. The businesses write their own text and choose their own photos. If you find a Webbricks website that breaks the rules below, or that you think is harmful, tell us and we will look into it.

If anyone is in danger, call the police on 999. Do not use this page for emergencies.

What you can report

How to report it

Email hello@webbricks.co.uk with:

What we do

  1. We aim to read every report within 3 working days, and we will tell you what we decided.
  2. If a report is about something clearly illegal or dangerous, we may take the website offline first and look into it afterwards.
  3. Otherwise we email the website's owner, explain the problem and ask them to fix it. If it is fixed, the website stays up.
  4. If it isn't fixed, or the problem is serious, we unpublish the website. The owner's other content is kept while we sort it out.
  5. We close the account of an owner who keeps breaking the rules, or whose website is clearly set up to cause harm. The owner can ask us to reconsider by replying to our email.

We keep a short record of each report and what we did about it, so we can deal with repeat problems.

If your website is reported

We will email you at your account address with what was reported. Reply to us if you think we have got it wrong. We read replies and will restore a website that should not have been taken down.

Our rules for websites

You can only publish content that is yours, that is accurate about your business and that is lawful. See our terms for the full list of what is not allowed.
